JERSEY AID
2010 Guatemala
Martin Hutton led a trip to Guatemala and took the LVSA jerseys with him.
Great job by the Gruby family for organizing this very worthwhile project.
"We just returned from a wonderful week in Guatemala. Our soccer field size was reduced through the construction of a small high school on the site, so we were told the clinic would be restricted to 50 kids. After a monsoon-like downpour on our first day prevented the assigned kids from coming, our hosts went into the local neighborhood with a bullhorn to find others to come play. Well, we had 137 on Thursday and 185 on Friday for the giveaway!!! Thankfully, due to your generous supply of shirts along with leftovers from last year and cleat and ball donations we were able to give each child a shirt for daily play, and either a uniform kit (jersey, shorts, socks and shin guards), pair of cleats or soccer ball!!! Thanks again for all your help, Martin Hutton."
